RTDNA selects chair-elect, six board members

Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) members have voted for a new chair-elect and several members of the board of directors.

Amy Tardif, Station Manager and News Director, WGCU-FM, Fort Meyers, FL was elected as chair-elect for 2013-2014. She will also serve as RTDNA’s executive producer of the Association’s next national convention, Excellence in Journalism 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Chris Carl, Director of News and Programming, WDEL-AM, Wilmington, DE moves up from chair-elect to chairman of RTDNA for the coming year.

Vincent Duffy, News Director, Michigan Radio, Ann Arbor, MI ends his term as RTDNA chair and becomes chairman of the Radio Television Digital News Foundation for the coming year.

Two at-large directors were re-elected to the board:

Sean McGarvy, Fox News, Washington, DC.

Dan Shelley, Senior Vice President, Interactive Local One, Radio One, New York, NY.


And four regional directors were re-elected to the board:

Region 2: Brandon Mercer, Consultant, Sacramento, CA.

Region 7: Jam Sardar, News Director, WLNS-TV, Lansing, MI.

Region 11: Bill Roswell, Director of Digital News and Media, KYW Newsradio, Philadelphia, PA.

Region 12: Mark Kraham, News Director, WHAG-TV, Hagerstown, MD.

Because Amy Tardif had served as regional director for Region 13, her seat now becomes vacant. Her successor will be appointed at a later date. A complete listing of all members of the RTDNA board of directors is available at rtdna.org.
